How to Play in a Scramble Tournament

While playing singles golf or on a doubles team is fun and rewarding, playing in a scramble tournament brings the game to a new and exciting level for players of all skill levels. Learn how to play in a scramble tournament for a fun, new golfing opportunity
First: Forming a team
Assemble a team of four people. Include people of any skill level and handicap. People you work with well and enjoy spending time with are the best bet.
Second: How to play in a scramble tournament
An order is determined ahead of time; every team member hits their tee shot in that order. Then, the best shot is determined, and all the players on your team make their second shot from within a club's length of that shot. Play continues this way until your team reaches the green. Once a player or players hit the green, the best shot is determined there; every player on your team putts from that shot until it is sunk. If it is not sunk the first time around, then all the members of your team try again from the mark of the best first putt.
Third: Making it great
The nice part about a scramble tournament is that it is good for players of all levels. Considering that all four members of the team hit the same shot, you have three other people to help out if you hit a bad shot. This way, all the members of your team do not feel like they have to worry about making bad shots, and the good shots are the center of focus.
